It is easy to say that gear_junkcity is by all considerations a crudely designed map both from the prospective of gameplay and visual style. It seems clear this map was an early attempt by a fledgling mapper learning to use Hammer, it includes elements such as a 3d skybox and logic_timers both of which require some understanding of hammer but also includes some basic mapping errors too.

The City:
gear_junkcity is made up of about 5 core elements, and characterized by the 2 RPG’s with in it.

Atlantis building: Multi storied building containing several weapons at the centre of the map
gas house: a small builing with 1 entrance / exit housing 2 chargers
rpg building: a rooftop only building containing an rpg
orb room: a room who’s front has been destroyed allowing entrance / exit via 2 doorways
Alley: the rear of the map that has a ladder to the Atlantis building.
